How was your weekend? I had a great sleepover with Katelyn, and visited my dad’s family on Sunday. Let’s start the week off with another outfit post, shall we? I wore this for my grandfather’s birthday yesterday, and it was comfortable enough while still being nicer than pants and a shirt. Along with this, I wore ribbons in my hair, something I've been doing a lot lately. Coordinating ribbons with parts of my outfit, like shoes or something similar, is one of my favorite parts of using ribbons. So, let’s talk about this outfit:
I received this dress for my birthday in December, and have since worn it twice. It’s super versatile. I love the fit, and how the sleeves have the tiniest ruffle. The dress feels like a t-shirt, but looks way nicer. Another great part of the dress is the pockets. Pockets can make any dress more practical, but I especially like them when they aren’t super visible. They’re nice for cold-ish evenings (or days in general), or if you have a phone, etc. Even just the thought of pockets makes me love this dress even more.
This sweater is one of my favorite things to wear. I love how soft it is, and how it holds its shape so well. I love sweaters (I kinda have a problem, haha) but I hate how some seem to loosen up after one wear, and I find myself washing them over and over and over. I like to wear sweaters a few times between washes, and this one doesn’t become a loose mess. It matches everything, and can work with pants, a skirt, shorts, a dress, etc. It’s definitely a wardrobe staple.
I never thought I’d wear colorful (least of all hot pink) shoes, but these were a gift and I found myself loving them! I think that in such a two-colored outfit (which I love, just needs a pop sometimes), a burst of color is a great aspect. It makes the outfit even more interesting. The shoes I’m wearing are old, but these are similar. I also love these and these (the green too!!) (and on a completely unrelated note, I think these are hilarious!).
(Also, please excuse my photography quality. I was experiencing camera trouble while shooting this and lacked sufficient time to re-shoot. Sorry!)
